Fledgy is two things at once, for the same person. It is an application workspace, for deciding where to apply and getting in. It is also a hiring marketplace, where students find internships, research roles and project work, and where organizations recruit them. The second half is not an add-on: the profile a student builds for an application is the same profile an organization reads when it is hiring, so the work counts twice.
Read this first: nothing in Fledgy submits a university application for you. It does not talk to the Common App or UCAS. It is where you do the work and keep track of it; you still file the actual applications on the official systems. Job applications are sent here, and go straight to the organization.

The application arc: deciding where to apply, finding things to do, writing about them, asking for letters, paying for it, and keeping the paperwork.
A student buys personalized counseling and is paired with a counselor by their goals; the terminal is the workspace the two share, and everything in it, opportunities, deadlines, essay tools, aid tracking, exports, comes with the counseling. A school licenses the counselor-side console for its own counseling office. Premium buys cosmetics and convenience.
Every opportunity, award and deadline in the catalog corresponds to a real program with a real official URL. We have deliberately not padded the catalog with plausible-sounding entries to hit a bigger number, a fabricated deadline is worse than no entry at all. See Data & accuracy.
Your profile is not visible to anyone unless you explicitly publish it. Documents are never shared, even with counselors. Contributors see what you invite them to see, and access ends the moment you revoke it. See Privacy policy.
