Opportunity library
206 entries across ten categories:
- Competitions, summer programs, research placements
- Scholarships, fellowships and scholar/access programs
- Internships, service, publication venues
- Free courses and application logistics (FAFSA, CSS, Common App, testing)
Filtering
By category, field, cost, and four saved views: matched to your major, saved, closing within 60 days, and free-only. Results sort matched-to-major first, then by soonest deadline.
Tracking
Saved â Applied â Accepted â Completed, or Passed. Saving awards 10 XP, applying 50, being accepted 150. Saved items with deadlines appear on your dashboard radar.
Honors finder
151 recognition programs, sorted by how you actually get one: which matters more than the subject, because âapply yourselfâ and âyour school nominates youâ need completely different actions.

| School nominates | Your school selects. Often one slot, and nobody asks for it. |
| You qualify | Earned by scoring or placing above a threshold. |
| Automatic | Granted from records you already have, just remember to list it. |
The underused route: roughly a third of these are given out by your own school - book awards, Boys/Girls State, DAR Good Citizen, the Rensselaer Medal. Filter to âschool nominatesâ and take that list to your counselor.

One click marks a program won and drops a pre-filled entry into your honors list, with the organisation and level already set.
Pay-to-play awards
5 entries are flagged and hidden by default: organisations that email unsolicited âinvitationsâ then charge a membership fee. They are included at all because students are aggressively marketed to by them and deserve to know what they are. Reach them via the âpay-to-playâ filter.
The tell: if an award asks you for money to accept it, it isn't an award.
Who can actually enter
Every entry carries an audience: high_school, college or both, defaulting to high school because that is the common case. Most of the catalog is age- or enrolment-gated to secondary school, so a transfer applicant already in college sees only the entries open to them, plus a transfer-specific set.
Deadlines
Stored as recurring annual windows (MM-DD) and resolved to the next real calendar occurrence. They are labelled as typical windows throughout because most shift by a week or two each cycle. See Data & accuracy.
Adding your own
Schools can bulk-import local scholarships and programs by CSV from the console. Imported entries are scoped to that school and appear in its students' library alongside the built-in ones.
